Joanne Tolaney, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Tolaney, Willard, (Clark Co.,
Wis.), was the winner of a spelling match conducted by WDLB, Marshfield, on
Saturday, February 16, 1958. Joanne and 16 other Greenwood High School juniors
and seniors participated.
Other studens taking part were Kathleen Ampe, Karen Lindner, Corrine Verhulst,
JoAnne Arch, Marilyn and Mary Ann Haunschild, Judy Lamovec, Sharon Larson, Jane
Lindner, John Staut, Jim Berrett, Nancy Cox, Coleen Dyre, Dorothy Keble and
Marty Zickert.
Miss Tolaney received a pen and pencil set and is eligible for further
competition for a typewriter award.
