Carol Severson, 13-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Severson, was
presented with a five dollar award by the Rev. Charles Koch at the Easter Sunday
service at the Zion United Church of Christ.
The award was in recognition of the first place award Carol received in the
North Wisconsin Synodical Stewardship Contest with her hymn, which she composed
the rods and music, and named "God's Gifts."
The entries, which included essays and poems, were selected locally before being
sent to Lakeland College at Plymouth for further judging.
Carol is a seventh grade student in the Greenwood Public School. Mrs. Lorris
Dusso had charge of the local contest.
