Miss Carol Wendt, who will graduate from the Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) High
School this month, was awarded the 1958 Clark County Homemakers Scholarship.
This was announced at the Clark County Homemakers Spring Council meeting, which
was held at Abbotsford. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Wendt of
Owen.
The winner will graduate from the Greenwood High School on May 26th, and is
planning to study Home Economics in college. She has been a 4-H member for the
past seven years and a FHA member for the past 4 years. In 1956, Carol, along
with her sister, Geraldine, were selected as the outstanding 4-H team
demonstration in the state.
This past year, she was selected as the outstanding FHA demonstrator in the
area, and was recipient of the "Betty Crocker" award. Mrs. Lawrence DeHart,
Neillsville; Mrs. Gilbert Rohde, Greenwood and Mrs. Wm. Thiesen Jr., Loyal, were
Homemaker's Scholarship Committee, who made the selection.
