Spanbauer, Ryan Allen (6 MAR 1982 - 3 FEB 2016)

Former Medford resident, Ryan Allen Spanbauer, 33, of Black River Falls passed away Wednesday, Feb. 3, at his home, while under the care of Black River Memorial Hospice.

He was born March 6, 1982, in Medford, to David and Judy (Schug) Spanbauer.

Ryan was raised in Medford and was a graduate of Medford Area Senior High School. After leaving Medford, he spent a few years in Appleton, then Long Lake, Minn., before moving to Black River Falls.

Ryan was united in marriage to Sara Scoles on December 12, 2015.

He worked at Ashley Furniture, along with various other jobs.

Ryan enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his family and friends were very important to him.

He is survived by his wife, Sara; children, Axl, Ruger, and Zoe; mother, Judy (Jim) Halik; other relatives and friends.

Ryan was preceded in death by his father, David; paternal and maternal grandparents.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Feb. 6, at 1 p.m., at the United Methodist Church, Black River Falls with Rev. John Paul officiating.

Family and friends were invited for visitation Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Memorials may be sent to Torgerson Funeral Home, 408 N. Water St., Black River Falls, WI 54615, to assist the family with funeral expenses.

Torgerson Funeral Home of Black River Falls is assisting the family with arrangements.
