Miss Evelyn M. Boe, San Clemente, Calif., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Boe,
Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Edwin M. Haven, San Onofre,
Calif., son of Mr. and Mrs. A.B. Haven, San Onofre, Calif., on Saturday, May 10,
1958. The Rev. Eugene C. Wood officiated at the 7:30 p.m. ceremony held at the
First Methodist Church. The church was decorated with white gladiolas, pink and
white carnations.
Mrs. Washburn, Oceanside, was the soloist, accompanied by Miss Savage, also of
Oceanside.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother-in-law, Bernard A. Kuehl, wore a
gown of white Chantilly lace over satin with sleeves tapering over her wrists, a
square neckline decorated with sequins and seed pearls. The skirt had insets of
plaited nylon in front and rows of pleated nylon formed the train. A crown of
sequins and seed pearls held her fingertip veil. She carried a bouquet of white
orchids, stephanotis and lily of the valley.
Mrs. R.J. Halpin, Van Nuys, California, as matron of honor, wore a ballerina
length gown of miracle fabric in aqua, with a boat neckline tapering to a bow in
the back. Her flowers were orchids and pink and white carnations.
The groom was attended by Jean Pierre Lacounque, San Juan Capistrano. The ushers
were Lee W. Haven and Frank Ulrich, San Clemente, and Dick Halpin, Van Nuys.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the church parlors that were
decorated in pink and white carnations. In Charge of the reception was Mrs.
Rodgers and Cassie King of San Clemente, and Lillian Smattey of Santa Ana.
The bride's sister, Mrs. Bernard A. Kuehl, wore a navy blue suit with white
accessories and an orchid corsage. The groom's mother wore a blue dress with
white accessories and an orchid corsage.
The bride is a graduate of Greenwood High School with the class of 1953 and was
employed in the California Bank at San Clemente. The groom is a graduate of the
San Juan Capistrano Union High School and San Onofre Tech and is a rancher at
San Onofre, California.
The bride wore a light brown suit and white accessories and an orchid corsage
for her honeymoon trip by auto to Greenwood, Wisconsin, and will be at home
after June 1st at San Onofre.
Guests attended the wedding from Carlsbad, Encino, Camarillo, Van Nuys, Garden
Grove, San Juan Capistrano, Anaheim, Los Angeles, Sunland California.
