The Merry-Ol'-Gardens dance hall, located just south of Longwood on Highway 73
and north of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), was completely destroyed by fire on
Saturday night, May 17th, 1958.
The hall was owned by Harry Bender of Owen, and was built in 1932 by Adolph
Jackson, who operated it until the mid-1940's.
