this union seven children were born. They made their home in Vernon County until
1912, when they moved to Greenwood, Clark Co., Wis., settling on a wild piece of
land north of Greenwood, there making a home for his family, and where he

He was married again December 7, 1946 to Mrs. Susie Elmer at Hillsboro,
Wisconsin. They made their home at Hillsboro for over a year, and in 1948 moved
to Greenwood, where they resided until Mr. Markee's death.

He had been in failing health for some time with a heart ailment, but had been
able to be up and around, and sat in the yard nearly every day.
He was taken to the Hill Funeral Home, Greenwood, and then was taken to the
Missionary Baptist Church for funeral services on Tuesday, July 8, at 2:00 p.m.,
conducted by Rev. J.B. Clauson, pastor of Weslyan Methodist Church at Rice Lake.
