Brehm, Linda K. (18 APR 1943 - 15 FEB 2016)
Linda K. Brehm, age 72, of Milwaukee, formerly of Colby, passed away on Monday,
February 15, 2016 at the Lutheran Home in Wauwatosa. A Memorial
Service/Celebration of Life is planned for the spring.
Linda was born April 18, 1943 in Hull township of Marathon County, the first
child of Kenneth and Delores (Wellman) Brehm.
She attended Rusk School for 8 years and graduated from Colby High School in
1961. After a year at St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing, she moved to
Milwaukee, where she took employment at Wisconsin Bell. She remained at
Wisconsin Bell, later to become AT&T until 2004, retiring after 40 years'
service.
In retirement, Linda went off to pursue her passion for golf, both as a
participant and as a spectator. She played in multiple tournaments in Wisconsin
and around the country, always enjoying the game and the camaraderie of her
golfing companions.
Linda also enjoyed many a weekend with friends watching and cheering on the
Wisconsin Badger football team and the Green Bay Packers. She especially enjoyed
lunches and evenings out with friends, attending performances of the Milwaukee
Ballet and exhibitions at the Milwaukee Art Museum.
Linda is survived by her mother, Delores Brehm of Colby; five siblings: Stan
(Mavis) Brehm of Plymouth, Minnesota; Dan (Barbara) Brehm of Camano Island,
Washington; Dr. Joyce Brehm (Sanford Quayle) of Stoughton, WI; Dr. Donna Brehm
(Jeff Cain) of Saukville, WI; and Cathy McCoy (Mike) of New London, WI. She is
also survived by multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth.
Linda was treasured by her friends and beloved by her family. She will be dearly
missed.
