Knusta, Brian Keith (12 September 1966 - 15 February 2016)
Brian K. Knusta, age 49, of Lublin, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2016, at
his home. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 20,
2016, at Trinity Christian Fellowship, in Stanley, WI, with Pastor Brian Welsh
officiating. Pallbearers were: Jonathan Knusta, Chuck Szemraj, Mike Stokosa,
Tony Bakken, Rob Karaba and Neal Luzinski. Visitation was held at Thorp Funeral
Home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2016, and again at the church
on Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
Brian Keith Knusta was born on September 12, 1966, in Alexandria, VA, to Frank
“Jerry” and Nellie M. (Nickel) Knusta. In February of 1969, the family moved to
Eau Claire, WI where he spent many summers working with his grandparents of on
their farm in Lublin. He attended Sam Davey Elementary School and graduated from
Eau Claire North High School in 1984. After completing high school, Brian moved
to Florida where he attended flight training school for Delta Air Lines. He
began his career with Delta Air Lines in Washington DC, but then transferred to
Milwaukee in 1989, where he served as Delta Supervisor of Airport Services until
2006. Brian was united in marriage to Monica R. Rewolinski on September 2, 1995,
at St. Veronica’s Catholic Church in Milwaukee. In 2010, Brian moved to Lublin
to manage the Knusta family farm and began working for Haas Sons, Inc. as Redi-Mix
driver.
Brian had many interests, including his love for aviation and history, but he
especially loved the outdoors. He felt it was important to teach children to
hunt, to cherish the Earth and foster its renewal. Brian spent many years
hunting and fishing all over the United States and Canada.
Brian will be dearly missed by his wife, Monica, of Lublin; two sons: Jonathan
and Alexander, both of Lublin; his mother, Nellie Knusta of Hartford; his
father, Frank “Jerry” (Barbara) of Eau Claire; two brothers: Scott of Hartford
and Todd of Mondovi; two step-sisters: Lisa Evenson of De Pere and Neva (Shawn)
Coyle of Eau Claire; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
