Hoey, Mrs. E.J. (Resigned Librarian Position – 30 NOV 1918)
On Saturday, Mrs. E.J. Hoey terminated her term of service as librarian of the
Neillsville Public Library, her resignation taking effect that day. For
seventeen years Mrs. Hoey has been librarian of the Neillsville Library, having
taken the position when the library was still occupying the second floor of the
city hall building. During the years of her service, Mrs. Hoey has been a
faithful and conscientious librarian, capable and obliging at all times, and a
great measure of the success of the library has been due to her intimate
knowledge of the books on the shelves and just where to find any book asked for.
It is understood that Mrs. Hoey will be succeeded by Miss Katherine Kountz, who
held the position as assistant for some time.
