Mrs. Clara Winkes transacted business at St. Paul on Friday.

County Agent R.V. Brown went to Madison Monday on business.

F.A. Parsons was here from Black River Falls Monday on business.

Mrs. H.M. Root left on Tuesday for St. Petersburg, Florida, to spend the winter.

Mr. and Mrs. George Trogner returned last week from their visit with their son at Minneapolis.

Mrs. John Irvine and Mrs. Mary Brazier went to Chippewa Falls Monday to spend a few days.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Brown came home last week from North Dakota, where they spent the summer.

A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. George Pettera on Monday and a son to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Herrian on Tuesday.

Word was received here Tuesday telling of the death of Mike Conlin, which occurred at the Odd Fellows home at Green Bay on Saturday.

Will Kelly came home last week from New York, having received his honorable discharge from the army. He expects to go west before a great while and resume his old position.

Mr. and Mrs. George Evans donated a fine turkey to the Red Cross, the proceeds of which netted the chapter $11.05. Mrs. Alfred Klopf held the winning number on the turkey.

Mrs. Mary Karnitz received word on Nov. 27th that her son, Ernest, had been wounded in action in France on Oct. 7th. He had gone over the top twice, and his wounds came the second trip over.

Mrs. Joe Schwellenbach is home from the Marshfield hospital, where she underwent an operation. She is spending a few days with relatives in the city before returning to her farm home north of Neillsville.
