Mrs. Chas. Schultz was at Marshfield yesterday.
Will Hannah was at Augusta Tuesday on business.
Robt. Kurth transacted business at Janesville Tuesday.
Will North was at Granton on business yesterday.
Fred Palmer came down from Augusta to spend a couple days.
A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Otto Olson at Shawano on Dec. 4th.
Mrs. Dan Caldwell and children left last week to spend the winter in Florida.
Capt. Wm. Jacques is home from Camp Sherman for a few days’ furlough.
F.L. Stolte, who recently bought a farm near Boyd, was here yesterday on
business.
Robt. Prochazka has bought the Servaty home on the north side and has moved in.
W.D. Dangers was called to Tulsa, Okla., Monday night by the very serious
illness of his brother, Fred.
A.A. Milbreit came from Amherst Friday to spend a short time with his son. He
may locate here again.
E.E. Swann and wife and son returned to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Tuesday after
spending a couple weeks here.
Mrs. Joe Bass was taken to the Marshfield Hospital Monday night as she was taken
suddenly ill Monday afternoon.
T.V. Carlton came up from Adams yesterday. He has bought back the barber shop he
owned there and will give us railroading.
Mrs. Carl Schuelke, Jr., returned home to Cobb Tuesday after a short visit with
Mr. and Mrs. Schuelke here and with relatives at Lynn.
In railroad circles it is reported that Harry Ferguson suffered another stroke
last week. He is up and about most of the time, but is very weak. Merrillan

Harold Rossman came home from Beaver Dam Tuesday night. He reports that he had
heard from his father in France a short time ago and that Lieut. Rossman was
recovering quite nicely from his wounds.
Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Marsh received word of the death of Mrs. Clark, mother of the
late Homer C. Clark. Her death occurred at her home in Maine on Thanksgiving
Day, the birthday of her son, Homer.
Robt. Monk came home Tuesday from Philadelphia. He has been a chief yeoman in
the Navy and last week received his honorable discharge. He now plans on
returning to the state university and resuming his law studies.
