Lindow, Gertrude (5 Dec 1918)
A very pretty wedding was solemnized last week Thursday at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Amiel Lindow when their youngest daughter, Gertrude, was united in marriage
to Mr. Alfred Anding. The ceremony with Rev. Wilson Mallory of the Church of
Christ officiating was performed at one o’clock in the afternoon in the presence
of relatives and close friends. The bride was charmingly attired in an exquisite
gown of silver grey taffeta with bead and satin trimmings and carried a bridal
bouquet of yellow roses and ferns tied with bows of white tulle. She was
attended by her sister, Abbie, and Miss Adeline Guk, a close friend. The groom’s
men were Mr. Fred Zuehlke and Mr. Raymond Lindow, brother of the bride.
The bridesmaids were prettily attired in white silk poplin with satin trimmings.
Mrs. Chas. Meisner, a sister of the bride, played the wedding march and
immediately after the ceremony the bridal party entered waiting automobiles and
drove to Neillsville, where wedding pictures were taken; then returned to the
home of the bride’s parents where a reception and supper was held for the many
guests and usual wedding festivities indulged in until a late hour. The groom is
an industrious young man and is at present operating his father’s farm on Route
Three and the bride is a young lady of charming manners and very pleasing
personality who readily made friends of all her acquaintances. – Granton News
