Carl Dodte was taken to the hospital at Marshfield Tuesday for an X-ray
examination. He is not improving as well as was hoped, his injuries from being
gored by a bull this summer not yielding to treatment. Dr. Doege was here from
Marshfield Tuesday to examine him.
A 5-year-old of Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Morse of Christie died of pneumonia on
Monday and the funeral will be held today. The little boy was a bright and happy
little fellow and his parents have the entire sympathy of the neighborhood in
their bereavement.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hagen went to Loyal on Tuesday.
Mrs. Will Hemp and son were at Granton on Tuesday.
Nels Neilson was here from Augusta on business Tuesday.
Max Schroeder spent Tuesday afternoon at Marshfield.
Will Meyers is home from St. Paul for a few days’ vacation.
Geo. Rupprecht is home, having been discharged from the army.
Jesse Leason came home Thursday from the hospital at Eau Claire.
Mrs. Nettie Balch goes to Madison today to spend the winter with her sons.
Miss Frieda Radke came home from Whitehall, where she has been teaching.
Stewart Lutz has moved here from Iowa, having recently bought the M. Keller
farm.
Mrs. George Huckstead came from Marshfield Tuesday to spend a few days with her
son.
Mrs. F. J. Eppling and daughter, Lillian, left on Tuesday for their home at
Portland, Ore.
Albert Nelson came home yesterday from North Dakota where he has been working
this summer.
Leo. Schroeder is here from Reedsburg for a few days visit. He but recently was
discharged from the army.
Miss Lois Longenecker went to Eleva Tuesday to spend a few days with her sister,
Miss Gladys, who is teaching there.
Mrs. R. C. Lorentzen returned home to Withee yesterday after a brief visit with
Mr. and Mrs. Ole C. Andersen.
Wayne Miller of Scranton, Pa., spent Tuesday here with Mr. and Mrs. A.B. Marsh.
He had been in Chicago on a business trip.
Douglas MacBride and Lawrence Davis of Granton are home from the S.A.T.C.
Douglas was here from Granton on Tuesday.
Henry Naedler is expected home within a few days and will re-open his garage for
the repair and storage of cars soon after his arrival.
Mrs. H.M. Wiskow returned home to St. Charles, Minn., Tuesday after being here
to help care for her sister, Mrs. Gust Miller, who has been very sick.
