Zilk, Tamara Ann (14 May 1960 - 22 February 2016)

Tamara A. Ziegler-Zilk, 55, of Neillsville died at her home Monday, Feb. 22, 2016.

Tamara Ann Ziegler was born May 14, 1960, in Neillsville, the daughter of Ronald and Shirley (Schultz) Ziegler. She graduated from Neillsville High School in 1978 and went on to UW-La Crosse for pharmacy technician. She moved to Madison where she worked for the Dean Clinic and was later transferred to Milwaukee where she became a pharmaceutical rep, working on the road for several years. In 1992, Tamara moved back to Neillsville and worked at Rice-Rust Pharmacy in Marshfield until they closed. At that time, she went to work with Peter Langreck on his farm raising veal calves.

Tamara loved gourmet cooking, reading, gardening and spending time in the outdoors. She also loved motorcycles and owned her own Harley Davidson.

She was united in marriage to Gary Beyer. They eventually divorced. She met Mark Headrick and moved to La Crosse. They had a daughter, Lizabeth, the light of her life, and moved back to Neillsville. She was united in marriage to William Zilk April 16, 2004, in Neillsville. Tamara was a former member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; a daughter, Lizabeth of Neillsville; two stepsons, Brandon (Sarah) Zilk of Chippewa Falls, and Nathan Zilk of Eugene, OR; her father, Ronald Ziegler; a sister, Tracy (Brad) Harder; and a nephew, Lars Harder, all of Appleton.

Tamara was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley, and a brother, Mark.

A Memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 3, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Pastor Terry Marg will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. prior to the service at the Gesche Funeral Home.
