JoAnn Arch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Arch, R. 2, Greenwood (Clark Co.,
Wis.), has been selected by her classmates and the high school faculty to
receive the DAR Good Citizen Award in the Greenwood High School this year.
Qualities which were considered in candidates for this award were dependability,
service, leadership, and patriotism. The recipient of this award is chosen by
the entire senior class and high school faculty.
JoAnn is an honor student and has been very active in various phases of school
life. She is the president of the Senior Band and the Pep Band. Besides being a
fine trombonist, she is a talented pianist and serves as accompanist for the
mixed chorus and girls glee club. She has also done a great deal of work as a
soloist and in music ensembles. She has served as president of her class and
secretary of the Student Council. She is a member of the school newspaper and
annual staffs and has been awarded the Quill and Scroll Award for her work in
school journalism. She has also taken part in forensic and discussion group
activities. JoAnn is also in FHA work.
