George Plunket, Greenwood (Clark Co.), Wis., as a member of the L-Bar-X Dance
Club at Wisconsin State College, La Crosse, will appear with the group in Gays
Mills, April 9, and in Stoughton, May 17, at the Norwegian Festival.
The La Crosse State College club's dance reputation is spreading across the
state of Wisconsin and requests for demonstrations by the group increase each
year. The club is made up of 48 men and women. The members are freshmen and
sophomores for the most part, and all divisions and ranks of students are
represented.
The faculty director, Bernadine Kunkel, an associate professor of physical
education, has a very strong feeling that dancing is of great value to the
student who takes part. They learn grace, good manners, consideration for their
partners, cooperation and something of the history of the dance they are
portraying.
Plunkett, a freshman in physical education, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry
Plunkett, R. 1, Greenwood.
