Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Hinker report their son, SP 4 Ronald M. Hinker, who is stationed in Germany, was on a (21?) day leave and saw wonderful and beautiful sights.

Ronald and a buddy from Minnesota left April 2nd from their base at Kaiserlantern to take an airplane at Wiesbaden and go anyplace the first plane would take them.

That was to France, where they stayed three days and then flew to Pisa and saw the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and also a big church there. They remained here one day and then left by plane for Rome, where they again saw many things of interest, such as St. Peter's Square, the Catacombs, Tomb of St. Peter, the casket of Pope Pius XII, the wall around old Rome, a place called Three Coins in a Fountain, and many other interesting things. They stayed in Rome three days and then took a train to Naples, where they remained one day, then flew to London, England.

Here they saw the Queen's Palace and London Bridge and took many pictures of interest.

After five days they flew back to Wiesbaden and took a train back to their home base at Kaiserlantern. Having three days left, they went to Karlsruke, where they visited Leland Mayenschein.

Ronald hope to take another leave in July
