Bergman, Robert D. (3 APR 1932 - 24 FEB 2016)
Robert D. Bergman, age 83, of Ogema, WI, passed away on Wednesday, February 24,
2016, at Golden Living Center - Rib Lake, under the care of Hope Hospice and
Palliative Care.
Robert was born April 3, 1932, in the Town of Hill to the late Albert and Haydee
(Newfors) Bergman.
He served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Growing up, Robert
attended the Leavitt Creek School in the Town of Hill and worked on the family
farm and as a logger. He was later employed at Larsen's Pallet Company until his
retirement.
Robert enjoyed fishing, feeding the birds and watching wildlife. He loved his
get-togethers on Saturday evenings for Sauna and playing games with family and
friends. Robert was an active member of the Independent Apostolic Lutheran
Church in Ogema.
Survivors include 1 brother, Ralph (Joyce) Bergman, of Grand Rapids, MN, and 1
sister-in-law, Gladys Bergman, of Ogema.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Albert and Haydee; his brothers and
sisters, Verna Kyllonen, Edna Maatta, and Melvin and Russell Bergman; his
half-brothers and sisters, Elma Frankki, Frans and Eino Leino, Arthur, Adolph
and Bernice Bergman, Viola and Adeline D'Amico, Eleanor Nuutinen and Miriam
Bush.
Funeral Services for Robert Bergman will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at
11:00 AM from the Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church in Ogema. The family
will receive friends for visitation from 9:00 AM until the time of Services at
11:00 AM.
Burial will follow at the Leavitt Creek Cemetery in the Town of Hill.
