Jasmer, Kenneth L. (21 DEC 1954 - 27 FEB 2016)

Kenneth L. Jasmer, Sr., age 61, of rural Withee, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at his home. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen. Family and friends are welcome from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Kenneth was born December 21, 1954, the son of Vernon and Dorthy (Anderson) Jasmer. He graduated from Gilman High School in 1973.

On September 6, 1975, Kenneth was united in marriage to Rita Berg at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Thorp. He worked at Bellinger Cheese Factory for a few years until working the past 30 years in maintenance at Kerry Ingredients in Owen. Kenneth also raised beef cattle, built silos and transplanted trees.

Kenneth enjoyed hunting, pulling mini-rods for Badger State Flingers, farming and raising his cattle. He will be deeply missed by his loving family.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rita of Withee; three children: Kimberly (Jeff) Woodie of Medford, Kenneth Jr. of Medford and Kyle of Withee; three grandchildren: Kaitlin and Jonathan Vesnefsky of Medford and Kiersten Jasmer of Withee. He is further survived by his mother, Dorothy of Withee; four brothers and four sisters: Dennis (Barb) of Withee, Timothy of Withee, Terry (Gail) of Withee, Leroy (Deb) of Hull, IA, Veronica Swoboda of Racine, Linda Kruger of Sioux Falls, SD, Ramona (Bob) Dillon of Hebron, NH and Dorothy (Brian) Rohland of Bloomer; his faithful dog, Spot; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon and a brother-in-law, Vernon "Butch" Swobada II.
