County Farm Corners (2 Jan 1919)
Last Week
Mrs. Wayne Potter and Harland Potter were at Marshfield last Tuesday on a
shopping trip.
Mr. and Mrs. George Wilson left Sunday night for Plymouth to visit relatives
over the holidays.
Joseph, the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Aug. Poziombka, died last Thursday in
Neillsville of influenza. He is survived by his father and mother, six sisters
and three brothers. The funeral was held Monday morning at the Catholic Church.
The community sympathizes with them.
Mr. and Mrs. D.H. Rhines, accompanied by Mrs. Chas. Peck and son, Shirley,
autoed to Marshfield last Friday. Mrs. Peck and son remained until Saturday to
visit Mr. Peck at the hospital, leaving Mr. Peck gaining slowly.
John Hoesly of Neillsville is visiting his brother, Melchoir, and family.
John Krejci had some hay pressed last Saturday.
The Kueng family are all sick with the flu, but are on the gain at this writing.
O.J. Warren is doing the chores.
Chas. Kupka is working at the County farm.
Harvey Rhines was rushing the season last Friday and Saturday as he did some
plowing.
Clarence and Franklin Reindel were Sunday callers at their grandparents’, Mr.
and Mrs. Wm. Schoengarth.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kubat and Charlie and Frank Aichinger were Sunday afternoon
visitors with B. Tykac and family near Granton.
