Mrs. A.C. Martin left yesterday for a visit at Portage.

A.A. Huckstead was at Alma Center yesterday on business.

E.L. White of Wausau spent New Year’s here with his aunt, Mrs. Eva Potter.

Miss Minnie Yoker returned Tuesday from a short visit with friends at Sparta.

Mrs. Wm. Hazlett went to Marshfield Tuesday to spend a few days with her son.

Mrs. P.N. Nelson returned Friday from a brief visit at Black River Falls.

Miss Hilda Kurth went to Milwaukee last week to take a course in bookkeeping.

Wm. Bielow returned from Camp Grant Tuesday after being discharged from the army.

Ex-Sheriff Hewett and wife took Viola Senhert of town Mayville to Mendota on Tuesday.

Mrs. Oscar Schoengarth spent Tuesday afternoon with her father at the Marshfield Hospital.

Miss Amelia Essleman and Mrs. Nellie Little of Minneapolis spent Thursday here with Mr. and Mrs. V.C. Woelffer.

Mrs. Henry Fisher came from Sioux City, Iowa, Tuesday to attend the funeral of her mother, Mrs. Richard Braatz.

A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Guy Anthony on Thursday and a son to Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Miller on Thursday.

Miss Leta Schoengarth of Granton spent Saturday here with Mr. and Mrs. Aug. Schoengarth and left on the midnight train for Ladysmith where she teaches school
