Pleasant Ridge (30 Jan 1919)
The Ladies’ Aid will meet with Mrs. Tom Wren Jan. 29 for dinner. Everybody
invited.
There was a surprise party at Salisbury’s Friday night and also one at Mr. and
Mrs. Joe Brown’s Saturday night.
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Vine called on Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Smith Friday afternoon. Mrs.
Smith is suffering with a bad limb from the effects of the flu.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim King Sundayed with the Geo. Swann family.
Otto Hantke and Bert Swann were on our road dehorning cattle Monday.
Herman Braatz is confined to his bed with heart trouble.
Rev. Colman took dinner with Geo. Vine and family one day last week.
Ernest Vine is expected home soon. He goes to Camp Grant this week to be
mustered out of Uncle Sam’s service.
Austin Slocomb is here from Dakota visiting his daughter, Mrs. Geo. West, and
his brother, O. Slocomb.
