Lange, Louise E. (Berndt) (17 JUL 1917 - 25 FEB 2010)

Louise E. Lange, age 92, of Memorial Nursing & Rehab Center, Medford, a former township of Molitor resident, died on Thursday, February 25 at Memorial Nursing & Rehab Center, Medford where she had resided for the past 2 years.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 1 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Medford, with Pastor Nancy Amacher officiating. Interment will follow at Medford Evergreen Cemetery II.

Pallbearers will be Vic Tonelli, Craig Lange, Bob Mello, Bill Resch, Steve & Dennis Berndt.

Visitation will be at the Hemer Funeral Home 4-7 PM Sunday, February 28 and also at church from 10 AM until time of funeral services at 11 AM on Monday, March 1.

Louise was born on July 17, 1917 at the town of Molitor, to Frank and Meta (Clausnitzer)
Berndt, Sr.

She received her education at Pine Tree Elementary School, township of Molitor. On July 27, 1940, she married Louis “Louie” G. Lange, in Medford. He preceded her in death 8-9-1984.

After her education, she worked in Milwaukee for a period of time as a nanny. After her marriage, they farmed in the town of Molitor for 40 years until selling the cows in 1978. She also did miscellaneous housekeeping jobs in the Medford area. In 2000 she moved to the city of Medford. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, trips to the casino, and her grandchildren.

Louise was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Medford, and past member of the NFO, where she supervised many meals & activities.

She is survived by children, Gene (Sheila) Lange of Eagan, MN & Larry (Sandra) Lange of Merrill; 4 grandchildren, Sheri (Bob) Mello, Lori (Vic) Tonelli, Michelle & Craig (Tracy) Lange; 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Viola Pagel of Bothell, WA; sister-in-law Aletta Berndt of Antigo.

She is predeceased by her parents, Frank and Meta (Clausnitzer) Berndt, Sr.; siblings, 3 sisters and brothers, Ervin, Frank Jr., and Roy Berndt.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the family for a future designation
