On Saturday, June 6, 1959, Miss Phyllis Grum, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anton
Grum, Greenwood (Clark Co.,Wis.), became the bride of Harvey Goeke, son of
William Goeke and the late Mrs. Goeke, Greenwood, at a 2:30 p.m. ceremony
performed at the E & R Church at New Holstein. Rev. Charles A. Koch, pastor,
officiated at the double ring ceremony.
The bride wore a ballerina length gown of white nylon over taffeta, styled with
a Sabrina neckline and full skirt. She wore a white picture hat and a corsage of
blue carnations.
Mrs. Lillian Smith, Waukegan, Ill., sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She
wore an egg-shell knit suit with blue accessories and a pink carnation corsage.
The groom was attended by his brother, Gerald, Goeke, Milwaukee.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at Miller's Guest House at Plymouth.
Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Lorris Dusso and family, West Bend; Mr. and Mrs.
Gerald Goeke, Milwaukee; Mrs. Lillian Smith and son Billy, Waukegan, Ill.; Rev.
and Mrs. Charles Koch and family, Plymouth; Richard Grum, Ashland.
The young couple, who enjoyed a three week tour of the United States will reside
on the groom's farm on R. 2, Greenwood.
