Kimball, Marlene (30 MAY 1959)
On Saturday, May 30, 1959, Miss Marlene Kimball, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl
Kimball, Park Rapids, Minn., became the bride of Sylvester Champa, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Louis Champa, Willard (Clark Co., Wis.), at a 9:00 a.m. nuptial
ceremony at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Wadena, Minn. Rev. Father Leon
Slominske, pastor, officiated at an altar decorated in yellow mums.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She was attended by Miss Judith
Jenkins as maid of honor.
The groom was attended by his brother Frank of Chicago, as best man.
Twenty-five guests attended a reception at the home of the bride's parents.
The bride is a graduate of Bemidji State College and taught in the Wadena
schools. The groom is also a graduate of Bemidji State College. This fall he
will attend the University of Sothern Illinois for his Master's degree, on a
scholarship.
