Volovsek, Mr./Mrs. Frank Sr. (45th – 25 JUL 1959)
On Sunday, July 26, 1959 Mr. and Mrs. Frank Volovsek Sr. celebrated their 45th
wedding anniversary with a Mass at 8:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church,
Willard. Rev. Father Aloysius Medic officiated. A buffet luncheon was served at
the West Side Hall, followed by a reception.
Frank Volovsek, who was born in Yugoslavia, came to the United States in 1900.
Anna Flic, who was also born in Yugoslavia, came tot eh United States the same
year and both went to West Allis.
They were married on July 25, 1914 and came to the Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.)
area in 1928, where they have resided ever since.
All of their children ere present for the celebration on Sunday. They have four
daughters, Mrs. Janvid (Mary) Staut, Willard; Mrs. Anton (Marge) Jeras,
Milwaukee; Mrs. Ann Sladich, Owen; Mrs. Joe (Betty) Fraid, Milwaukee; seven
sons, Frank Jr., Wm. And Alphonse, Willard; Joe, Stanley; John, Greenwood;
Anton, Milwaukee, and 36 grandchildren.
Relatives and close friends also attended the celebration. The honored couple
received many nice gifts.
