Syth, Mr./Mrs. William (Gold – 15 SEP 1959)
William Syth, son of John and Minnie (Cummins) Syth, and Helen Stoneburg,
daughter of Daniel and Olin (Cox) Stoneburg, were united in marriage September
15, 1909 by Rev. Hendren in the city of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.).
In 1910 they moved to Sidney, Montana, where they resided for many years, and
were close neighbors of August Bauman and Louis Decker, who moved there the same
year from Greenwood. To this union 16 children were born, three sets of twins.
Their oldest son, Ted Syth, resided in and around Greenwood for several years
and is known by many.
The last five years Mr. and Mrs. Syth have made their home in Baldwin Park,
California. Each summer they visit their children in Montana and Idaho.
To help them celebrate their 50th anniversary, 65 were present, their children,
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
At present time they are in Portland, Oregon visiting his sister, Mrs. Louis
Stoneburg, and a brother, Ray Syth.
