Strobach, Edward “Ed” J. (20 MAY 1917 - 6 MAY 2010)
Edward “Ed” J. Strobach, age 92, of Country Gardens, 635 W. Cedar Street
Medford, died on May 6 at the Memorial Health Center, E.R., Medford where he was
taken earlier by ambulance.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 10 at the Holy Rosary
Catholic Church, Medford, Father Gerard Willger will officiate. Interment will
be at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery, Medford.
Honorary pallbearer is Eddie Kramer. Active pallbearers are Ryan and Stanley
Endres, Leon Kress, Pete Ziehlke, Pete Faude and Dave Gengler.
Visitation will be at 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. Monday, May 10 at the Holy
Rosary Catholic Church, Medford.
Ed was born on May 20, 1917 in the Town of Medford, to Joseph and Bertha (Kress)
Strobach.
He was a graduate of Medford High School.
Ed worked on electric motors at Marathon Electric in Wausau for a number years.
He then worked at Fish Lumber in Middleton until moving back to the Medford
area. Ed was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed nature, especially walking in the
woods and bird watching. He also liked cats, Ed often cat sat for people in
Country Gardens. Ed was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford.
He is survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ed is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Bertha (Kress) Strobach; siblings,
Clara Freudenthal and Henry and Lawrence Strobach.
