Junior Kiwanian Danielle Pfeiffer (March - 2016)
March Junior Kiwanian
Danielle Pfeiffer
As the Junior Kiwanian program spotlights the outstanding talents, commitment,
and achievements of our senior students and provides them with an opportunity to
experience a service organization in action, it also serves as a reminder to the
club members that this generation of students shows a great deal of promise as
our future leaders in the world of business, health care, the arts and others
career fields. Club members continue to be impressed with the positive manner in
which these individuals present themselves, and this reflects well on a
combination of family, community support, strong academics and the character of
the students themselves.
The Neillsville Kiwanis Club is pleased to have Danielle Pfeiffer as its Junior
Kiwanian for the month of March. She is the daughter of Jerry and Tonya Pfeiffer
and is a senior at Neillsville High School. Club secretary Herman Seebandt made
the introduction to the club at the March 7 meeting.
This individual is an outstanding example of a scholar-athlete who has combined
a strong academic record with a high level of leadership and achievement in
three sports throughout her high school career. Pfeiffer has been in Nation
Honor Society since 2013, has received multiple academic letters and is a member
of the Fine Arts Club.
Athletically, she has attained all-conference honors for two years in volleyball
and was team captain her senior year. Pfeiffer was 1st team all-conference last
year in basketball, and was this year’s team captain. She will again be a member
of the softball team, where she has received all-conference recognition as a
sophomore and junior.
In addition to her school activities, she is involved in the community with CCD,
assisting with pancake breakfasts, Thanksgiving Day meals, and a Mothers’ Day
banquet and volunteering with the Neillsville Recreation Department (NRD)
tournaments. Pfeiffer is also employed as a lifeguard for the NRD and as a
swimming instructor for the school district.
This active high school career should serve Pfeiffer well as she attends Winona
State University in the fall. The members of the Neillsville Kiwanis Club
welcome her as Junior Kiwanian and look forward to her participation in their
March meetings.
