Hicke, Anthony W. (28 APR 1969 – 14 MAR 2016)

Anthony W. "Tony" Hicke, age 46, of Loyal, passed away at his home on Monday, March 14, 2016. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church, in Loyal, with Rev. Daniel Zimmerman officiating. Visitation will be held at the church, on Saturday, from 9 am until time of service.

Anthony Wayne Hicke was born on April 28, 1969 in Anoka, MN, the son of David W. and Debra L. (Habeck) Hicke. When he was a young boy, his family moved to Atlanta, GA, then to Joplin, MO, and finally settled in Simi Valley, CA, where he graduated from Simi Valley High School in 1987. After high school, Tony went to work at his father's business, Di-Tec International, as a machinist, machine designer, machine programmer and fabricator. After his father's retirement in 2007, Tony took over the business until its closing in 2010. He then moved to Caledonia, MN and later La Crosse, WI, where he was also employed as a machinist. In June of 2013, Tony met his companion Jackie Olson and moved to Loyal, WI in November of that same year to be near her. He was employed at Innovative Machine Specialists in Marshfield as a machinist at the time of his death.

Tony had many interests, but especially enjoyed rebuilding cars and racing stock cars when he was younger, camping and 4-wheeling. He was a member of the Elks when he lived in California. Most recently Tony enjoyed spending afternoons on the lake with his in-laws, weekends at home with all the kids home, and especially loved being Grandpa to Jaxon. Tony was known to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed assistance and was a very caring and intelligent man.

He is survived by his daughter: Ashley L. Hicke of Simi Valley, CA; his parents: David and Debbra Hicke of Pahrump, NV; his sister: Tina (Jack) Schwartz of Parker, CO; his fiancé: Jackie Olson of Loyal, and her children, Brittany Olson (Alex Smith) of Oshkosh, Ashley Olson (Derrick Dix) and their son Jaxon, of Spencer, McKaila Olson of Appleton, Mariah Olson of Marshfield, and Kaden Olson at home. Tony loved and cared for them all as his own. He is further survived by Jackie's parents: Duane and Donna Olson of Greenwood, who loved Tony as a son, along with her siblings and their families: Jeff (Carrie) Olson of Amherst Junction, Jodi (Tim) Rueth of Neillsville, Jennifer (Stacey) Olson of Coon Rapids, MN, and Jeremy (Hannah) Olson of Greenwood.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; two uncles: Donnie Habeck and Glen Morrison; and one brother-in-law: Mike Vickers.
