Peissig, Barbara Jean (27 FEB 1960)
On Saturday, February 27, 1960, Miss Barbara Jean Peissig, daughter of Mrs. Wm.
Peissig, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Roy Rasmussen, Greenwood,
at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen. Rev. Father H.L. Crubel, pastor,
officiated.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, De Wayne Peissig. She wore a
nylon tulle street length Dress with a seed pearl crown holding her fingertip
veil. Red roses and white carnations and stephanotis comprised the bridal
bouquet.
Miss Ruth Sailer of Owen, in an ice blue nylon crystalette street length dress
with white accessories, was maid of honor. She carried a colonial arrangement of
yellow chrysanthemums.
Ed Hoss of Thorp was best man.
A breakfast for the wedding party was served at the home of Mrs. Clara Sailer
and a dinner at the home of the bride's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Pete
Boxrucker.
Mrs. Rasmussen graduated from the Owen High School and has been employed at the
Vogue Beauty Salon at Owen. Her husband graduated from the Greenwood High
School. They will live at Greenwood.
