Acker, Mr./Mrs. Paul (Gold – 4 OCT 1970)
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Acker celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary at the home
of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Mikolajczyk of Owen
(Clark Co., Wis.).
Paul, a son of August and Minnie Acker, was born in Milwaukee and moved to
Greenwood area at the age of 10. On October 4, 1920 at St. Paul, Minnesota he
married Hazel Himes, daughter of Arthur and Nettie Himes of Owen.
They farmed in the town of Warner until retiring 10 years ago. They still reside
on the farm now owned by their youngest son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Dick Acker.
They have another son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Acker of Medford,
and 2 grandsons, David and Bryan, sons of Dick and Virginia.
Helping them celebrate were relatives from Minnesota and Wisconsin.
On Sunday they were honored at their home by a few friends.
