Cole, Sarah (30 JUN 1887 – 6 OCT 1970)
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 10 at the Hansen Chapel
for Mrs. Guy Cole, 83, of 210 E. Second Street, who died Thursday, October 8,
1970 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.
The Rev. Donald Huffmeier, pastor of Calvary Bible Church, officiated, and
burial was made at the Hillside Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bert and Ted Rasmussen, Ralph Rayhorn, Ebert Boson, William
Mueller and Malcolm Hansen.
Mrs. Donald Huffmeier was at the organ.
The former Sarah Christiansen was born June 30, 1897 in Clark County, Wis., and
was married in Loyal July 18, 1906, to Guy cole, who preceded her in death March
4, 1956. They lived in the Dorchester area until 1920 when they operated a farm
in Ebbe until 1936, when they moved to Marshfield. Her husband had been a
musician and co-owner of Cole’s Music Store in Marshfield.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Harry (Evelyn) Hansen, Marshfield; five
grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, s son, one sister, and two brothers.
