Miss Barbara Ann Allar, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Allar, 214 Thomas,
Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), and David Gerald Lucht, Rt. 2, Spencer, exchanged
marriage vows on Saturday, October 10, 1970.
St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal, was the setting for the ceremony which was
performed by Rev. Norbert Kind. Mrs. Edward Trnka played the organ and the
church choir sang.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, and had chosen a traditional
white bridal gown of Chantilly lace and peau de soie with built in cathedral
length train which was styled with a molded empire bodice of lace, with
scalloped neckline and sheer Camelot sleeves. Self-covered buttons detailed the
closing at the back. The fingertip veil of illusion with hand rolled hem was
secured to a forward headpiece of taffeta bows and a brim of Venice lace
medallions. The cascade bouquet consisted of yellow bud roses and white grapes.
Miss Janis Goodwin, Loyal, was the maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Mrs.
Janene Allar, La Crosse, Wis., and Mrs. Mary Ann Allar, St. Paul, Minnesota.
They wore gowns of A-line styling with a fitted empire bodice of mortar chiffon
with a wedding had color. The gowns were a two toned strawberry colored Venice
lace. The long sheer puff sleeves were trimmed at the wrists with lace and
velvet ribbons. The A-line skirts were fashioned of strawberry colored satin.
They wore forward feathered satin floral clusters, to which short bouffant veils
were attached in a strawberry shade. They carried a single yellow rose with
yellow and strawberry colored streamers.
Charles Lucht, Loyal, served as the groom’s best man, and other attendants were
Mr. Wayne Allar, La Crosse, Wisconsin and Gordon Allar, St. Paul Minnesota.
James Paschke, Owen, Wisconsin and Russ Kelenhofer, Milwaukee, seated the
guests.
Following the ceremony a supper, reception and dance were held at the Star Lodge
Motel, Loyal.
