Korntved, Martha (Wilk) (13 JUL 1925 - 20 MAR 2016)
Martha (Wilk) Korntved, age 90, died peacefully surrounded by family on March
20, 2016 at Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater, MN.
She was born on July 13, 1925 to Valentine and Veronica (Drozdowski) Wilk in
Norrie, Wisconsin. After marrying her husband, Donald Korntved on December 11,
1943, she moved to Unity, Wisconsin. In 1974, they moved to Chetek, Wisconsin to
be closer to their daughter, Judy. The last ten years she was a resident of Good
Samaritan Nursing Home in Stillwater, Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald on October 13, 1980; daughter
and son-in-law, Judy and Dale Aderhold; great-grandson, Jacob Tussey; and
several sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews.
She is survived by sisters, Florence (Edward) Tryba and Adeline (Joe) Tryba;
grandchildren Craig (Julie) Aderhold, Laura (David) Tussey, Pamela (Gary)
Hansen, Tari (Chad) Christofferson, and Anthony (Kari) Aderhold; and
great-grandchildren Lauren and Andrew Aderhold; Aleena, Noah, and Caleb Tussey;
Breton, Nicholas, Nathan, and Luke Hansen; Joshua, Ethan, and Ana Christofferson;
and Brooks and Reese Aderhold.
Thank you to the staff of Good Samaritan Nursing Home and Lakeview Hospital for
the commendable care they provided Martha. She will be greatly missed by family
and friends.
Martha’s funeral service will be held at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in
Abbotsford, Wisconsin on Saturday, March 26 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be one
hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Town of Brighton Municipal
Cemetery.
