Johnson, Barbara C. "Barb" (Centar) (3 JAN 1953 - 22 MAR 2016)
Barbara C. "Barb" Johnson, age 63, of Abbotsford, passed away on Tuesday, March
22, 2016 at Ministry St. Joseph hospital in Marshfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 28, 2016 at
St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Abbotsford. Father Peter Manickam will
officiate. Interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Withee.
Family and friends are welcome from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Sunday, March 27 at
the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford and on Monday from 10:00 AM
until time of service at the church.
Barb was born on January 3, 1953, in Pennsylvania, the daughter of William and
Mary (Kubinsky) Centar. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Guy
Johnson on June 21, 1978 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen.
Barb received a degree and worked as an x-ray technician.
Barb enjoyed fishing, camping, knitting, and needle pointing. Even though her
and Guy never had any children, they always had a full house of their nieces and
nephews. Barb enjoyed knitting blankets for them.
Barb is survived by her husband: Guy; her brother: Rick (Charlene) Centar of
Pennsylvania; and two sisters: Monica Morrow of Illinois, and Sharon (Charles)
Paye of North Carolina. She is further survived by three brothers-in-law: Bill
Johnson of Withee, Bob Johnson of Virginia, and Paul Johnson of Florida; a
sister-in-law: Ginny Grove of Florida and many nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters-in-law: Pat Friedenfels of
Abbotsford, and Penny Bruner of Neillsville; and three brothers-in-law: Bruce
Johnson of Owen, Bud Johnson of Lannon, and Chris Johnson of Owen.
