Hrad, Myron Lane (17 SEP 1963 - 28 MAR 2016)

Myron Lane Hrad, 52, Phillips, Town of Elk, died on Monday, March 28, 2016.

He was born in Park Falls, Wisconsin, on September 17, 1963, the son of Edith and James Hrad Jr.

He was a 1981 graduate of the Phillips High School. He was married to Kathleen “Kathy” Palmer in the United Methodist Church in Phillips on April 30, 1988.

As a young man he was employed by Marquip Inc of Phillips, and then from 1987 to 2015 was employed by Georgia Pacific Corporation in Phillips, most recently as a Control Room Operator. He was an active member of the United Methodist Church of Phillips. In his free time he enjoyed the outdoors, especially logging, but also hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and ATVing. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen “Kathy”, by one daughter, Christina, Phillips, by one son, Aaron (Trista), Athens, WI; by his parents, James and Edith (Opresik) Hrad Jr, Phillips; by one brother, Ernest (Laurie), Roseville, MN; and by two sisters, Joyce (Chris) Anderson, Rochester, MN, and Carol Hrad, Chippewa Falls, WI.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 2, at the United Methodist Church in Phillips with Pastor Loretta Waughtal and Pastor Thomas Reiff officiating. Interment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery in Phillips. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 2:00 P.M. until the time of services.

The family suggests that memorials may take the form of an offering to the United Methodist Church in Myron's name.

The Heindl Funeral Home in Phillips is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
