Stewart, Richard “Ricky” “Rick” L. (21 JAN 1955 - 1 APR 2016)
Richard “Ricky” “Rick” L. Stewart, age 61, current resident of Eau Claire, and
former resident of Rib Lake, died on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Sacred Heart
Hospital in Eau Claire.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Hemer
Funeral Home in Rib Lake, with Pastor Donald Rohdy officiating.
Cremainal Inurnment will take place at a later date at Lakeview Cemetery in Rib
Lake
Visitation will be at 11:00 A.M. until time of services at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday,
April 6, 2016 at Hemer Funeral Home in Rib Lake.
Rick was born on January 21, 1955 in Medford, to Leroy and Geraldine Stewart of
Rib Lake.
He attended Medford and Rib Lake Area Schools
Rick lived in Stetsonville as a young child before moving with his family to Rib
Lake. In later years he moved to Eau Claire. He enjoyed bowling, going for
walks, especially around the lake in Rib Lake, jigsaw puzzles, listening to
music on his phonograph, playing games with his brother James and going
shopping. Rick had a close relationship with his brothers Tom, James and Bob. He
was a member of Special Olympics in Eau Claire.
He is survived by his parents, Leroy Stewart of Rib Lake, Geraldine Kline of Rib
Lake
and step-father: Charles Kline of Chili.
He is further survived by siblings, Penny (Dennis) Brynn of Wausau, James
Stewart of Eau Claire, Thomas Stewart of Rib Lake and Robert Stewart of Westboro;
step siblings Dale (Renee) Rude of Montana, Dawn (Larry) Zentner of Westboro,
Diane (Bill) Vaughn of Chili, Debbie (J.C.) Nelson of Oconto Falls and Dennis
(Lisa) Kline of Hamptonville, North Carolina; Rick is further survived by many
nieces and nephews.
Rick is predeceased by his step mother, Monica “Jan” Stewart, and step brother,
David Kline.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Rick’s name to the Special Olympics
in Eau Claire or Black River Industries in Medford.
Hemer Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family with
arrangements.
