Sugden, Mary Mae (Fisher) (13 JUN 1917 - 2 APR 2016)
Mary Mae Sugden, 98, of Fort Atkinson, formerly of Lime Ridge died Saturday,
April 2, 2016 at the Golden Living Center, Fort Atkinson, while surrounded by
her family.
She was born August 20, 1917 in Eagle Township, Richland County, the daughter of
Washington Cook and Odessa (Weeden) Fisher.
On October 22, 1938 Mary married Ray Sugden in Richland Center. Mary enjoyed
crocheting and gardening. She also enjoyed being around people, especially those
at the Lime Ridge Senior Center and the Golden Living Center. Mary truly
treasured the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren.
Mary is survived by three children, William Arnold Sugden of Lime Ridge,
Virginia May (David) Wallace of Rib Lake, S. Odessa (Harold) Gaugert of Johnson
Creek; son-in-law, David Oemig of Fort Atkinson; 12 grandchildren, Nicole
(Frank) Buelow, Ray Wallace, Neena (Clayton) Szydel, Rodney (Carol) Wallace,
Michael (Libby) Wallace, Kathy (Ed) Hart, Cindy Morgan, Ben (Laura) Hildreth,
Victor (Shaney) Iturbide, Teresa (LaVern) Martins, Dawn Colbert, Jodi Adian; 2
step-grandchildren, Gail (Richard) Woolley, Sandra (Brian) Anderson; 25
great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Ferguson of
Poynette; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Washington and Odessa, husband Ray,
sister Reva Coaty, daughter Janice Oemig, grandson Brian Oemig,
great-granddaughter Jennifer Wallace, and great-great-grandson Blake Karlen.
The family of Mary Sugden would like to thank the nurses and CNAs from the
Golden Living Center and a special thank you to Diane Collins Seamandel for all
of her care and attention for Mary and Mary’s entire family.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Pratt
Memorial Chapel in Richland Center. Burial will follow in the Woodstock
Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Pratt
Memorial Chapel from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and again on Sunday, April 10, 2016
from 12 p.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. The Pratt Funeral and
Cremation Services is assisting the family with their arrangements. Online
