Thanksgiving guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Metcalfe were Mr. and Mrs. Roger
Metcalfe and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Metcalfe of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs.
Algene Schmidtke and family of Stratford, Mr. and Mrs. Norman VanderWyst and
family of Granton, and Mrs. Ida Dunbar.
Lucky deer hunters reported in the area are two at the Eugene Ednries’, and one
for Howard Gilderneck, manager of Chili Milk Products.
Mrs. Clarence Hagedorn and Heidi and Linda, and her friend, Peter Pie of Fond du
Lac spent Friday with the Melvin Tews family.
Sunday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Ray Metcalf visited with the following people in
the Memorial home in Neillsville, Bessy Wright, Mrs. Wm. Kammerer, Maudie
Shortess and Ida Buhren.
Mr. and Mrs. David Brett and son of Forest Lake, Minnesota and Mr. and Mrs.
Eugene Warren of Popular spent several days with their parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Brett.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kurz attended the wedding of Pamela Worden of Greenwood to
Dan Turner of Withee on Thursday evening. The candlelight service was held in
the Christian Alliance Church in Owen. A reception followed in the church
basement.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Schultz, Scotty, Eddie and Mary Schuninger and children went
to the Jim Zoelner home in Wausau to spend Thanksgiving.
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Luchterhand and family, Laura Luchterhand, Mr. and Mrs.
Churck Cohl of Granton and family, and Mr. and Mrs. William Dankemyer Sr. spent
Thanksgiving Day with mr. and Mrs. William Dankemyer Jr. and family of Chili.
The Senior Citizens met at the Catholic recreation hall on Monday night.
Election of officers was held. They are Chairman – Mrs. Julius Reneck;
Co-Chairman – Mrs. Alvin Miller; Secretary – Mrs. Tucker, and Treasurer – Laura
Luchterhand.
Mr. and Mrs. John Kurz were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kurz and
children.
