Haas, Kathryn (22, October 1928 - 4 April 2016)

Kathryn Haas, age 87, of Thorp passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016, at Miller Alternative Care in Thorp.

Kathryn was born on October 22, 1928, to the late John and Cecelia (Pilarski) Navarre in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. On June 7, 1950, she married LaVerne Haas at St. Mary’s in Stanley.

She is survived by her sons: Rick (Cindi) of Franklin, WI, Randy (Nancy) of La Crosse, and Russell of Thorp; daughters: Lori (James) Pajak of Thorp, Jane Haas of Withee, Annette Haas of Sarasota, FL and Geralyn (Keith) Gunter of La Crosse; grandchildren: Kariann (Jeremy), Ryan (Pam), Kasi (Nate), Jhonny (Mike), Jacqi (Nick), Jacob, Matthew (Kari), Andrew Maria), Ethan, Cecilia, and Lance; great-grandchildren: Bailey, Daylynn, Ian, Isabella, Tristan, Vincent, Penelope, Hunter, Gianna, Arianna, Genevieve and Knightley; brothers: James (Pat) Navarre of St. Paul, MN and Richard Navarre of Phoenix, AZ; many other relatives and friends.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, LaVerne; daughters: Janet and Karen; brother, Al Navarre; sisters-in-law; Eve and Dory Navarre.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday April 8, 2016, at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Thorp with Father Janusz Kowalski officiating. Family will received friends one hour prior to Mass at the church. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery at a later date. Evergreen Funeral Home and Crematory in Eau Claire is serving the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church.
