LaBonte, Rebecca Lee (13 September 1943 - 30 March 2016)
Becky’s earthly journey began September 13, 1943. She was born in Thorp,
Wisconsin to Elmer D. Kuester and Ursula Lee (Kutzler) Kuester.
Becky went to heaven on March 30, 2016, at the age of 72. She died in Austin, TX
surrounded by her husband Jay and their sons: Jay R. (Kathy) of Syracuse, UT and
Trevor of Austin, TX.
She attended Thorp Public Schools and graduate in 1961. She was united in
marriage to Jay La Bonte on June 26, 1965.
Becky is further survived by her siblings: Patricia (Gordon) Rolland of St.
Germain, WI, Clarice (Richard) Novell of Franklin, WI, and Rick (LuAnn) Kuester
of Rifle, CO.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Tom, whom we are sure
welcomed her into heaven with his big smile, open arms kissed her cheek and
said, “I love you”, just like he always did when he and Becky were here on
earth.
She leaves behind many nieces and nephews who adored her and is further survived
by: mother-in-law, Leone LaBonte of Stanley, WI, Margie (Jack) Ragatz, also of
Stanley, and William (Gene) LaBonte of Lake City, MN. She is also survived by
grandchildren and great-grandchildren: KC (Jessica) Winslow and Ryder of Logan,
UT, Tyler (Cami) Winslow and Collins, Nayvee and Riggins of Ogden, UT, Heather
(Jeremy) Godfrey and Blake of Clarkston, UT, and Dereck (Amber) Winslow of
Layton, UT.
A celebration of Becky’s life will take place at a later date at the Immanuel
United Church of Christ in Greenwood, WI, where she was baptized, confirmed and
married.
We, her family offer our everlasting gratitude to Becky for being that very
special wife, mother, grandmother, sister, classmate and friend. “She truly was
an angel on earth.”
