Franck, Caroline Ann (Griesbach) (9 FEB 1926 - 8 APR 2016)
Caroline Ann Franck, age 90, of Aspirus Care and Rehab, Medford, a former
Township of Molitor resident, passed away on Friday, April 8 at Aspirus Care and
Rehab, Medford, where she had resided for the past 11 months.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 30 at North Ridge
Church, Abbotsford, with Rev. Will Krebs officiating.
Interment of her cremated remains will take place at Molitor Catholic Cemetery,
Town of Molitor.
Visitation will be at 2:00 PM until the time of services at 3:00 PM on Saturday,
April 30 at North Ridge Church, Abbotsford.
Caroline was born on February 9, 1926 at Medford, to August and Dora (Mathias)
Griesbach.
She attended Roosevelt Elementary School in Perkinstown, was a graduate of
Hannibal High School and Taylor County Teachers College, Medford.
On July 27, 1957, she married Norman H. Franck, in Medford. He preceded her in
death October 29, 2011.
From 1944-1945, she lived and worked in Milwaukee. From 1952-1957, she taught in
several Taylor County schools including the Red Brick School in Bellinger and
Fawn Valley School in Rib Lake. They moved to Minocqua in 1957 and worked as a
CNA at Howard Young Medical Center until her retirement in 1988. She then joined
her husband in traveling with volunteer groups of the Assembly of God Church
called MAPS. They helped build schools, churches & campgrounds. She enjoyed
writing letters to prison inmates and doing other ministry work.
Caroline was a past member of the Assembly of God Church, Augusta, WI and
present member of the North Ridge Church, Abbotsford.
She is survived by her children, Joseph (Rebecca) Franck of Strum, David
(Catherine) Franck of Osseo, Roddi (Pamela) Franck of Mc Lean, Texas, Paula
Broshar of Exeter, MO; 12 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 13 great
grandchildren; 12 step great grandchildren; a sister, Marion Griesbach, Medford.
Caroline was predeceased by her husband Norman; parents August and Dora
(Mathias) Griesbach; granddaughter, Becky Batiste; and sister, Genevieve
Griesbach.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be given to the
family for a future designation
