Patterson-Cochran, Donna M. (Patterson) (27 MAY 1948 - 5 APR 2016)
Donna M. Patterson-Cochran of Medford, age 67, died Tuesday, April 5 at Aspirus
Wausau Hospital where she had been a patient for the past two days.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 9 at the United
Methodist Church, Medford with Rev. Kyochul Shin officiating. Burial will take
place at Perkinstown Community Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from
9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 9 at the United
Methodist Church.
Donna was born in Medford on May 27, 1948 to the late Donald Wicker and Vivian (Lohnis)
Patterson.
She attended Medford Elementary School and was a 1967 graduate of Medford High
School. She also had CNA education. On October 17, 1998 she married Charles
Cochran and he preceded her in death in 2000.
After her education she worked at Medford High School for seven years as a
library assistant. She then resided in Duluth, Minn., Arizona, Boise, Idaho, and
several towns in the state of Wisconsin working as a caregiver. She returned to
Medford and did volunteer work and helped elderly people. She enjoyed the
outdoors, fishing, taking pictures, crossword puzzles, reading and camping. She
was a member of United Methodist Church, Medford and its Afternoon and Twilight
Circles, along with several other church activities including a lay speaker,
United Methodist Women Chippewa District Team.
She is survived by her brother, Chad Patterson of Omaha, Neb.; sisters, Lana
Fanning of Wisconsin Rapids and Jill Hernandez of Menasha; sister-in-law, Linda
Patterson of Medford; and brother-in-law, Dudley Donaldson of Swaziland, Africa.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a sister,
Mavis Donaldson, and a brother, Jack Patterson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be given to
the United Methodist Church, Medford.
