Huebner, Luverne V. (Thompson) (17 NOV 1927 - 17 APR 2016)
Luverne V. Huebner, 88, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016, at her home.
She was born on Nov. 17, 1927, in Medford, daughter of Emeal and Elsie (Johnson)
Thompson.
Luverne married Lyle Huebner on Feb. 5, 1946. She and Lyle moved to Mondovi,
where she worked in the cafeteria at the Mondovi High School.
Luverne was a member of Central Lutheran Church. She had many hobbies including
fishing, camping, gardening and maintaining her flower beds. Luverne truly
enjoyed bowling and won many awards. She was an accomplished seamstress and
would sew her family outfits including denim jeans.
Luverne will be sadly missed by her husband of 69 years, Lyle of Mondovi;
daughter, Judy of Mondovi; son, Bruce (Pam Christensen) of Mondovi;
grandchildren, Tyler, Tiffany, Evan and Mackenzie; great-grandchildren, Noah,
Ciana, Lexi, Mallory, Leah and Lacy; siblings, Rosalie Brost, Betty (Dick) Lekie,
Darlene Barker, Robert (Sharyn) Tompson and Carol (Pat) Meyer; nephew, William
(Alice); many other nieces and nephews; other relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lester Thompson.
A memorial service will be held at Central Lutheran Church, Mondovi, on
Thursday, April 21, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Rolf Morck officiating. Visitation
will begin at 9 a.m. at the church until the time of service.
Burial of Luverne’s cremated remains will be held at a later date.
