Lundstrom-Tillman, Lorraine (Lundstrom) (22 JUL 1922 - 18 APR 2016)

Lorraine Lundstrom-Tillman, age 93, of 595 Peterson Drive, Phillips, WI, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016 at Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home, where she been a resident for the past 1 ½ years.

Funerals services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, April 23, 2016 at First Lutheran Church in Ogema, with Pastor Bob Giese and Pastor Linda Strader co-officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Ogema.

Honorary pallbearers are Terry McCauley and Jim Ficke.

Visitation will be at 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday, April 22, 2016 at Hemer Funeral Home in Rib Lake and 3:00 P.M. until time of services at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, April 23, 2016 at First Lutheran Church in Ogema.

Lorraine was born on July 22, 1922, in Ogema, on the family homestead, to Oscar William and Ellen Sophia (Lundgren) Lundstrom.

She attended Forest View Graded School and was a 1940 graduate of Phillips High School.

On December 20, 1942 at a Methodist Church in Chicago, IL, Lorraine married the love of her life Harold Tillman. He preceded her in death in 1994.

After high school, Lorraine moved to Chicago, and worked at the Mars Candy Company and at Douglas Air Craft during WWII working on B29’s. In 1977 she retired and moved back to her family homestead in Ogema. She enjoyed playing the Hand and Foot card game, eating chocolates, baking, being with her family, sewing, especially the raffle quilt for the Christmas Tree Festival and hosting the family reunion during the Christmas Tree Festival.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Ogema, American Legion Aux., V.F.W. Aux., Sewing Circle and W/ELCA.

Lorraine is survived by her children, Dale (Barbara) Tillman of Elgin, IL, Ruth (Larry) Endicott of LaSalle, IL and William (Marcia) Tillman of Crystal Lake, IL; 8 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her parents, Oscar William and Ellen Sophia (Lundgren) Lundstrom; siblings, Mabel (Mick) McCauley, Evelyn (George) Madelung, Irene (Charlie) Battist and Raymond Lundstrom.
