Roush, Eugene “Gene” C. W. (30 MAY 1944 - 18 APR 2016)
Eugene “Gene” C.W. Roush, age 71, of 302 Sunrise Court, Stetsonville, passed
away Monday, April 18 at Aspirus Medford Hospital emergency room, where he had
been taken earlier by ambulance.
Memorial services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, April 22 at Zion Ev. Lutheran
Church, Stetsonville, with Rev. James H. Babler officiating.
Interment of his cremated remains will take place at Medford Evergreen Cemetery
II.
There will be no prior visitation.
Gene was born on May 30, 1944, at Allens Grove, WI, to James and Gloria C. (Loescher)
Roush, Sr.
He was a graduate of Marengo, IL Community High School.
On April 11, 1964, at Marengo, IL, he married the love of his life Carol
Adamson. She survives.
They moved to the Town of Molitor in 1968. He enjoyed hobby farming and raising
veal calves while working as a machinist, mold maker for Phillips Plastics in
Medford and later Fiskar’s in Wausau. In 1992 they moved to the Village of
Stetsonville.
After retiring, he spent many years serving as a volunteer driver for the Taylor
Co. Commission on Aging. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting with his sons and
grandsons, ice fishing with his daughter and floating on his pontoon while
enjoying the wildlife on shore.
Gene was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Stetsonville.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Roush of Stetsonville; children Richard “Rick”
Roush of Medford, Teri (Tom) Kline of St. Michael, MN, and Brian (Sheila) Roush
of Phillips; grandchildren Christopher and Michael Clarkson, Emily Skolte,
Brandon Kline, Bradley, Brent and Sarah Roush, Allison and Jessica Roush; great
grandchildren John and Leeloo Kline; and sibling Arlyn C. Roush of Woodstock,
IL.
Gene is predeceased by his parents, James and Gloria C. (Loescher) Roush, Sr.;
siblings James Roush, Jr. and Susan C. Roush.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be given to Black
River Industries, Medford.
