Wendt, Mr./Mrs. Adolph (Silver – 2 OCT 1960)
Friends and relatives of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Wendt were entertained Sunday
afternoon and evening, October 2, 1960, at their home in obaserance of their
25th wedding anniversary.
Florine Abel and Adolph Wendt were married in the Immanuel Reformed Church,
October 2, 1935, by the late Rev. Paul Franzmeier.
The couple has three children, Geraldine, who is employed at the Rose Marie
Shoppe in Eau Claire, Carol, a junior at Wisconsin State College, Eau Claire,
and Dennis, who is a sophomore at Greenwood High School. All were present for
the occasion.
A three tiered anniversary cake centered the table, and a delicious lunch was
served to about 175 guests.
The anniversary cake was cut by Mrs. Karl Laube of Colby, a sister of Mrs.
Wendt. Miss Lorraine Laube of Marshfield, pout the coffee.
Mr. and Mrs. Wendt received many gifts and congratulatory cards.
Guests came from Milwaukee, Eau Claire, Wausau, Rice Lake, Woodville, Thorp,
Owen, Withee, Colby, Curtiss, Edgar, Marshfield, Wis. Rapids and Greenwood area.
