Mohan, Archie (24 JAN 1902 – 17 JAN 1971)

Funeral services for Archie Mohan, 68, of route 2, Spencer, were held Monday morning at Christ the King Catholic Church in Spencer. The Rev. Andrew Bofenkamp, pastor, officiated. Pallbearers were Harold Schultz, Oscar Olson, Gordon Anderson, Carl Morrow, LeRoy Dommer, and Eugene Marten. Burial was made in the West Spencer Cemetery. Lulloff Funeral Home of Colby was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Mohan was found about 8:15 a.m. Thursday in the ditch of a driveway leading to the Eugene Marten Farm. Clark County Coroner Robert Lulloff attributed death to exposure. Mohan's car was found in a ditch near the Marten farm and authorities believe he was trying to reach the Marten farm for help.

Archie Mohan was born January 24, 1902, in Auburndale. He was married to Anna Huber in Auburndale, May 22, 1928. The couple lived and farmed in the central Wisconsin area, and he had also been employed as a painter.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Archie Jr., Hales Corners; Ray and Melvin, Colby; and James, Spencer; six daughters, Mrs. Richard Rolfs, Mrs. Edward Berg and Miss Mary Mohan, all of Milwaukee; Mrs. William Schaab, Menomonee Falls; Mrs. Paul Cliene, Grafton; and Mrs. Louise Young, Unity; 24 grandchildren; a brother, James, Milwaukee; five sisters, Mrs. Edward Worthington, Boston; Mrs. Bessie Szky, Milwaukee; Mrs. Bernard Feala and Miss Agnes Mohan, both of Chicago; and Miss Marie Mohan, Houston, Texas.

He was preceded in death by two daughters.
